List of Stops

When an organ is described all stops are usually listed in a so-called stoplist / disposition. A set of pipes consists of as many single pipes as there are keys on the manual. Each key is connected to a corresponding pipe of corresponding length (pitch). These sets of pipes are called stop / voice / register. Looking at the name of the stop you can tell what kind of pipes these are and what kind of a sound they produce.

Lubaga Cathedral Pipe Organ will have  43 stops and a total of 2,636 Pipes played over 3 Manuals and a Pedal section.

2 Stops are named after the traditional instruments 'Endingidi' and 'Enkwanzi' and will imitate their sound. At the front there will be horizontal trumpets (named Lubaga Trumpets) to be played on solemn occasions.
